Do Your Research:Sometimes advertisers don't put their company location in their ad, but if an ad contains a phone or fax number, it's not too hard to look the company up. Go to www.411.ca and do a reverse look-up on the number including the area code. If your search turns up no results, that may mean that the company has used a private number and wishes to remain anonymous.
By doing this reverse search you will find the name and location of the company. If you like, you can do a search with your favourite search engine to see if the company has a web-site. Researching the company you are applying to is a good idea.

You could also try this: Copy the url www.411onnet.com/ and paste it into your address bar. Now, enter the phone number you wish to look up, including the area code, and hit enter. It should look like this (www.411onnet.com/4169671111).
Please Rememberthat our advertisers have included the method by which they wish to be contacted in their ads. Please do not use another method. If there is a fax number or e-mail address in the ad, please fax or e-mail the advertiser, do not call them unless they request it even if you've looked them up and come across their telephone number. Look them up for location or company research purposes only.
Know Your Area Codes & Telephone Exchanges (Prefixes):Although we do our best to encourage our advertisers to include certain information in their ads (such as location & rate of pay) some choose not to do so for various reasons. If you aren't interested in anything more than location of a company or are responding to many advertisers, reverse look-up may be too time consuming. In this case, it would be a good idea to get to know your area codes & telephone exchanges. Go to Hamilton CommunityNet to look up an area code.
